KJV: O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Geneva: O Lord God the auenger, O God the auenger, shewe thy selfe clearely.

KJV: Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Geneva: Exalt thy selfe, O Iudge of the worlde, and render a reward to the proude.

KJV: LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

Geneva: Lord how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

KJV: How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

Geneva: They prate and speake fiercely: all the workers of iniquitie vaunt themselues.

KJV: They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

Geneva: They smite downe thy people, O Lorde, and trouble thine heritage.

KJV: They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

Geneva: They slay the widowe and the stranger, and murther the fatherlesse.

KJV: Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Geneva: Yet they say, The Lord shall not see: neither will the God of Iaakob regard it.

KJV: Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

Geneva: Vnderstande ye vnwise among the people: and ye fooles, when will ye be wise?

KJV: He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

Geneva: Hee that planted the eare, shall hee not heare? or he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

KJV: He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

Geneva: Or he that chastiseth the nations, shall he not correct? hee that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not knowe?

KJV: The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

Geneva: The Lord knoweth the thoughtes of man, that they are vanitie.

KJV: Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Geneva: Blessed is the man, whom thou chastisest, O Lord, and teachest him in thy Lawe,

KJV: That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Geneva: That thou mayest giue him rest from the dayes of euill, whiles the pitte is digged for the wicked.

KJV: For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Geneva: Surely the Lorde will not faile his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

KJV: But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Geneva: For iudgement shal returne to iustice, and all the vpright in heart shall followe after it.

KJV: Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Geneva: Who will rise vp with me against the wicked? or who will take my part against the workers of iniquitie?

KJV: Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Geneva: If the Lord had not holpen me, my soule had almost dwelt in silence.

KJV: When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

Geneva: When I said, My foote slideth, thy mercy, O Lord, stayed me.

KJV: In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Geneva: In the multitude of my thoughts in mine heart, thy comfortes haue reioyced my soule.

KJV: Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

Geneva: Hath the throne of iniquitie fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Lawe?

KJV: They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Geneva: They gather them together against the soule of the righteous, and condemne the innocent blood.

KJV: But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Geneva: But the Lorde is my refuge, and my God is the rocke of mine hope.

KJV: And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

Geneva: And hee will recompence them their wickednes, and destroy them in their owne malice: yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.
