1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

*Lord, who will live in your shelter? Who will reside on your sacred mountain?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

*He who walks with integrity, does good deeds, and speaks truth from his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

*He who doesn't talk bad about others, doesn't harm his neighbor, and doesn't bring up negative rumors about his neighbor.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

*In whose eyes, bad people are not respected, but those who respect God are honored. Someone who swears to something even if it hurts them, and doesn't change their mind.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

*Who doesn't lend money for interest or take rewards from innocent people will remain steady.
