KJV: By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

Geneva: By the riuers of Babel we sate, and there wee wept, when we remembred Zion.

KJV: We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

Geneva: Wee hanged our harpes vpon the willowes in the middes thereof.

KJV: For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

Geneva: Then they that ledde vs captiues, required of vs songs and mirth, when wee had hanged vp our harpes, saying, Sing vs one of the songs of Zion.

KJV: How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?

Geneva: Howe shall we sing, said we, a song of the Lord in a strange land?

KJV: If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

Geneva: If I forget thee, O Ierusalem, let my right hand forget to play.

KJV: If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

Geneva: If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleaue to the roofe of my mouth: yea, if I preferre not Ierusalem to my chiefe ioy.

KJV: Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

Geneva: Remember the children of Edom, O Lord, in the day of Ierusalem, which saide, Rase it, rase it to the foundation thereof.

KJV: O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

Geneva: O daughter of Babel, worthy to be destroyed, blessed shall he be that rewardeth thee, as thou hast serued vs.

KJV: Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Geneva: Blessed shall he be that taketh and dasheth thy children against the stones.
