Moses and Aaron followed God's instructions. They used a stick to change the river water into blood, right in front of Pharaoh and his helpers.
"And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings."
Moses told Aaron to tell everyone in Israel to come closer to God because He heard their complaints.
"And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech."
She went and arrived at the field where workers were harvesting. She gathered leftover grain after them. By chance, she was in a part of the field owned by Boaz, who was related to Elimelech.
"I know a mystery And have read the heavenly tablets, And have seen the holy books, And have found written therein and inscribed regarding them:"
I understand a secret, and I have studied the heavenly records. I have also seen the holy books, and I have found written and recorded in them the following:
"And hold fast my words in the thoughts of your hearts, And suffer them not to be effaced from your hearts; For I know that sinners will tempt men to evilly-entreat wisdom, So that no place may be found for her, And no manner of temptation may minish. XCIV. 6-"
Keep my words in your hearts and minds, and don't let them fade away. I know that sinners will try to turn people against wisdom, so that it has no place and no temptation can diminish it.
"Fourth Period--from the Graeco-Syrian Domination to the Maccabaean Revolt."
The fourth period spans from the time when the Greeks and Syrians ruled until the Maccabees rose up in rebellion.
