Chapter 67

1 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.

*Please, God, have mercy on us and give us blessings. Shine your light on us, please. Pause for a moment of reflection.

2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

*So that everyone on Earth knows your path, your healing power can be found by all countries.

3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

*Let everyone thank you, God; have everyone give you praise.

4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.

*Let all countries be happy and celebrate: because you will fairly judge the people and rule the world's nations justly. Pause for a moment to think about this.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

*Let everyone thank you, God; have everyone give you praise.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

*Then the land will give us its fruits, and our God will bless us.

7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

*God will give us blessings, and everyone far away on Earth will respect Him.
