Psalms 65

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

"Praise is waiting for you, God, in Zion. People will keep their promises to you there."

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

O you who hears prayers, everyone will come to you.

Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

Injustices are against me; but you will remove our wrongdoings.

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Blessed is the person you choose and bring closer to you, so they can live in your courtyard. We will be happy being part of your good house, especially your holy temple.

By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

Dear God, we ask you to help us with difficult situations in a fair way. You are the hope for everyone on Earth, including those far away at sea.

Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:

Which, using his great strength, firmly secures the mountains; and is surrounded by power.

Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.

Which calms the sea's roar, the wave crashing sounds, and the crowd's chaos.

They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

People living far away are scared of your signs, but you make the sunrise and sunset happy.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

You visit the Earth and provide water to it. You greatly enrich it with the river from God, filled with water. You provide grain after preparing it well.

Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

You generously water those hills. You establish the grooves there. You make it gentle with rain. You bless its growing.

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

You make the year full of kindness; and your paths bring plenty.

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

They fall on the open grasslands: and all the small hills are happy around.

The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.

Fields have lots of animals; valleys are full of crops; they're happy and they sing.
