Tells about the Israelites' 40 years in the desert, including their travels and the census of their tribes.

Chapter 29

1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

*In the seventh month, on the first day, gather for a special meeting. Don't do any regular work. It's a day to hear trumpet sounds.

2 And ye shall offer a burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

*Offer a sacrifice to God: one unblemished young bull, one unblemished ram, and seven unblemished baby sheep from the first year.

3 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals for a bullock, and two tenth deals for a ram,

*Their food offering should be made from mixed flour and oil. For a bullock, it needs three parts of the mixture, and for a ram, it requires two parts.

4 And one tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

*And for every ten lambs, you pay for one lamb, no matter how many lambs there are.

5 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you:

*Offer one goat as a sin sacrifice to forgive your sins.

6 Beside the burnt offering of the month, and his meat offering, and the daily burnt offering, and his meat offering, and their drink offerings, according unto their manner, for a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

*Next to the monthly burned offering, its meat offering, the daily burned offering, its meat offering, and their drink offerings, all according to their custom, as a pleasing aroma, a fire sacrifice to God.

7 And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:

*On the tenth day of the seventh month, gather for a special meeting. Be sad and don't work on that day.

8 But ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD for a sweet savour; one young bullock, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year; they shall be unto you without blemish:

*But you must give a special gift to God for a good smell; it needs one young bull, one sheep, and seven baby lambs; they must be perfect with no flaws.

9 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals to a bullock, and two tenth deals to one ram,

*The meat offering should be made from mixed flour and oil. For a bullock, give three parts of the mixture, and for a ram, give two parts.

10 A several tenth deal for one lamb, throughout the seven lambs:

*A 10% discount for one lamb, applied to the seven lambs:

11 One kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the sin offering of atonement, and the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering of it, and their drink offerings.

*One goat for a sin offering; along with the atonement offering, the continuous burnt offering, the offering from the meat, and their drink offerings.

12 And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:

*On the 15th day of the 7th month, gather for a special meeting. Don't do any regular work and celebrate a festival to honor the LORD for seven days.

13 And ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD; thirteen young bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year; they shall be without blemish:

*Offer a fire sacrifice that smells good to God. Use 13 young bulls, 2 rams, and 14 one-year-old lambs. They must be perfect with no flaws.

14 And their meat offering shall be of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto every bullock of the thirteen bullocks, two tenth deals to each ram of the two rams,

*The meat offering should be made from a mix of flour and oil. For the 13 bullocks, give three-tenths of the mixture to each bullock. For the two rams, give two-tenths of the mixture to each ram.

15 And a several tenth deal to each lamb of the fourteen lambs:

*And about 10% of each of the 14 lambs' share:

16 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat kid for a sin offering, along with the regular burnt offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

17 And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

*On the second day, give 12 young bulls, 2 rams, and 14 spotless one-year-old lambs.

18 And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The meat and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs should be based on their count, following the usual pattern.

19 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and the meat offering thereof, and their drink offerings.

*Offer one goat kid for a sin offering, along with the regular burnt offering, its food offering, and their drink offerings.

20 And on the third day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish;

*On the third day, bring 11 healthy bullocks, 2 healthy rams, and 14 healthy one-year-old lambs with no flaws.

21 And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The meat and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs should be based on their count, following the usual pattern.

22 And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat for a sin offering, along with the regular burned offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

23 And on the fourth day ten bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

*On the fourth day, ten healthy young bulls, two good rams, and fourteen spotless young sheep, all one year old, were needed.

24 Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The food offerings and drink offerings for the cows, sheep, and lambs should be based on their count, following the usual pattern.

25 And one kid of the goats for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat kid for a sin offering, along with the regular burnt offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

26 And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:

*On the fifth day, nine young bulls, two rams, and fourteen baby lambs, all without any flaws.

27 And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The meat and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs should be based on their quantity, following the usual method.

28 And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat for a sin offering, along with the regular burned offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

29 And on the sixth day eight bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

*On the sixth day, get eight healthy young bulls, two healthy male sheep, and fourteen healthy baby lambs, all one year old and without any flaws.

30 And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The meat and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs should be based on their count, following the usual pattern.

31 And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat for a sin offering, along with the regular burned offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

32 And on the seventh day seven bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without blemish:

*On the seventh day, seven young bulls, two rams, and fourteen baby lambs, all one year old and flawless.

33 And their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullocks, for the rams, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*The meat and drink offerings for the bulls, rams, and lambs should be based on their count, following the usual pattern.

34 And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*And one goat for a sin offering, along with the regular burned offering, the meat offering, and the drink offering.

35 On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein:

*On the eighth day, you will have a special gathering where you cannot do any regular work.

36 But ye shall offer a burnt offering, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: one bullock, one ram, seven lambs of the first year without blemish:

*But you must give a burned offering, a fire sacrifice with a good smell to God. Use one bull, one sheep, and seven baby sheep, all one year old and without any flaws.

37 Their meat offering and their drink offerings for the bullock, for the ram, and for the lambs, shall be according to their number, after the manner:

*Their food offerings and drink offerings for the bull, the sheep, and the baby lambs should be based on how many they have, following the usual way.

38 And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, and his drink offering.

*Offer one goat for a sin offering, along with the regular burned offering, meat offering, and drink offering.

39 These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

*In your special holidays, you should do these things for the LORD along with your promises and extra gifts. This includes your burnt offerings, food offerings, drink offerings, and peace offerings.

40 And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.

*Moses shared with the Israelites everything that God instructed him to say.
