Numbers 33

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

This is the story of Israel's kids leaving Egypt's land with their armies, led by Moses and Aaron.

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

Moses recorded their travels based on the Lord's instructions, and this is how their trips were organized according to where they went.

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

They left Rameses on the first month's 15th day, the day after Passover. The next day, the Israelites exited with confidence, witnessed by all Egyptians.

For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

The Egyptians buried their firstborn children because the LORD punished them there. The LORD also judged their gods.

And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

The Israelite kids left Rameses and set up camp in Succoth.

And they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

They left Succoth and set up camp in Etham, located at the border of the wilderness.

And they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon: and they pitched before Migdol.

They left Etham and went back to Pihahiroth, near Baalzephon. They set up camp at Migdol.

And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.

They left Pihahiroth and crossed the sea into the desert. They traveled for three days in the Etham desert and set up camp at Marah.

And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.

They left Marah and went to Elim. In Elim, there were 12 water sources and 60 palm trees. They set up camp there.

And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

They left Elim and set up camp by the red ocean.

And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

They left the Red Sea and set up camp in the desert called Sin.

And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

They left the desert called Sin and set up camp at Dophkah.

And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

They left Dophkah and set up camp in Alush.

And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

They left Alush and set up camp at Rephidim, a place with no water for the people to drink.

And they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

They left Rephidim and set up camp in the desert called Sinai.

And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibrothhattaavah.

They left the Sinai desert and set up camp at Kibrothhattaavah.

And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

They left Kibrothhattaavah and set up camp at Hazeroth.

And they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithmah.

So they left Hazeroth and set up camp in Rithmah.

And they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmonparez.

They left Rithmah and set up camp at Rimmonparez.

And they departed from Rimmonparez, and pitched in Libnah.

They left Rimmonparez and set up camp in Libnah.

And they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.

They left Libnah and set up camp at Rissah.

And they journeyed from Rissah, and pitched in Kehelathah.

They traveled from Rissah and set up camp in Kehelathah.

And they went from Kehelathah, and pitched in mount Shapher.

They left Kehelathah and set up camp on Mount Shapher.

And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.

They left Mount Shapher and set up camp in Haradah.

And they removed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.

So, they left Haradah and set up camp in Makheloth.

And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.

They left Makheloth and set up camp at Tahath.

And they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.

They left Tahath and set up camp at Tarah.

And they removed from Tarah, and pitched in Mithcah.

So they left Tarah and set up camp in Mithcah.

And they went from Mithcah, and pitched in Hashmonah.

So they left Mithcah and set up camp in Hashmonah.

And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.

They left Hashmonah and set up camp at Moseroth.

And they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Benejaakan.

They left Moseroth and set up camp in Benejaakan.

And they removed from Benejaakan, and encamped at Horhagidgad.

So, they left Benejaakan and set up camp at Horhagidgad.

And they went from Horhagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.

So they left Horhagidgad and set up camp in Jotbathah.

And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.

They left Jotbathah and set up camp at Ebronah.

And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Eziongaber.

They left Ebronah and set up camp at Eziongaber.

And they removed from Eziongaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

They left Eziongaber and set up camp in the desert called Zin, also known as Kadesh.

And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

So they left Kadesh and set up camp at Mount Hor, near the border of the Edom land.

And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

Aaron, the priest, climbed Mount Hor as the Lord told him to. He died there when the Israelite children were in their 40th year since leaving Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

Aaron was 123 years old when he passed away on Mount Hor.

And king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

King Arad from Canaan, living in the south, learned that the Israelites were arriving.

And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.

They left Mount Hor and set up camp at Zalmonah.

And they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.

They left Zalmonah and set up camp in Punon.

And they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.

They left Punon and set up camp in Oboth.

And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.

They left Oboth and set up camp in Ijeabarim, at the edge of Moab's land.

And they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibongad.

They left Iim and set up camp in Dibongad.

And they removed from Dibongad, and encamped in Almondiblathaim.

So, they left the place called Dibongad and set up camp in another place named Almondiblathaim.

And they removed from Almondiblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

They left Almondiblathaim and set up camp in the Abarim mountain range, near Nebo.

And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

They left the Abarim mountains and set up camp in Moab's flat land, close to the Jordan River by Jericho.

And they pitched by Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even unto Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.

They set up camp by the Jordan River, from a place called Bethjesimoth to another called Abelshittim, in the open lands of Moab.

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

And God spoke to Moses in the open area of Moab, close to the Jordan River and Jericho, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

Tell the people of Israel, when you cross the Jordan River and enter the land of Canaan;

Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

Then, you will remove everyone living in the land and demolish all their statues, destroy all their idols, and knock down all their tall places.

And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.

You will take over the people living in the land and live there, because I have given you the land to own it.

And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

You will divide the land using a random method for each family as an inheritance. Give more land to those with more people, and less land to those with fewer people. Each person's inheritance will be in the place where their random selection falls, based on your ancestors' tribes.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

But if you don't remove the people living in the land, those you leave behind will cause you trouble like a scratch in your eye and a thorn in your side, making life hard where you live.

Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

Then, this will happen: I will treat you the way I planned to treat them.
