KJV: Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Geneva: Ivdge not, that ye be not iudged.

KJV: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

Geneva: Eor with what iudgement ye iudge, ye shall be iudged, and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you againe.

KJV: And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Geneva: And why seest thou the mote, that is in thy brothers eye, and perceiuest not the beame that is in thine owne eye?

KJV: Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Geneva: Or howe sayest thou to thy brother, Suffer me to cast out the mote out of thine eye, and beholde, a beame is in thine owne eye?

KJV: Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Geneva: Hypocrite, first cast out that beame out of thine owne eye, and then shalt thou see clearely to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.

KJV: Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Geneva: Giue ye not that which is holy, to dogges, neither cast ye your pearles before swine, lest they treade them vnder their feete, and turning againe, all to rent you.

KJV: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Geneva: Aske, and it shall be giuen you: seeke, and ye shall finde: knocke, and it shall be opened vnto you.

KJV: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Geneva: For whosoeuer asketh, receiueth: and he, that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

KJV: Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Geneva: For what man is there among you, which if his sonne aske him bread, woulde giue him a stone?

KJV: Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Geneva: Or if he aske fish, wil he giue him a serpent?

KJV: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Geneva: If ye then, which are euill, can giue to your children good giftes, howe much more shall your Father which is in heauen, giue good thinges to them that aske him?

KJV: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Geneva: Therefore whatsoeuer ye woulde that men should doe to you, euen so doe ye to them: for this is the Lawe and the Prophets.

KJV: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Geneva: Enter in at the streight gate: for it is the wide gate, and broade way that leadeth to destruction: & many there be which goe in thereat,

KJV: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Geneva: Because the gate is streight, and the way narowe that leadeth vnto life, and fewe there be that finde it.

KJV: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Geneva: Beware of false prophets, which come to you, in sheepes clothing, but inwardly they are rauening wolues.

KJV: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Geneva: Ye shall know them by their fruites. Doe men gather grapes of thornes? or figges of thistles?

KJV: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Geneva: So euery good tree bringeth foorth good fruite, & a corrupt tree bringeth forth euill fruite.

KJV: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Geneva: A good tree can not bring forth euil fruite: neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruite.

KJV: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Geneva: Euery tree that bringeth not forth good fruite, is hewen downe, and cast into the fire.

KJV: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Geneva: Therefore by their fruites ye shall knowe them.

KJV: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Geneva: Not euery one that sayeth vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdome of heauen, but he that doeth my Fathers will which is in heauen.

KJV: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Geneva: Many will say to me in that day, Lorde, Lorde, haue we not by thy Name prophecied? and by thy name cast out deuils? and by thy name done many great workes?

KJV: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Geneva: And then will I professe to them, I neuer knewe you: depart from me, ye that worke iniquitie.

KJV: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Geneva: Whosoeuer then heareth of mee these words, & doeth the same, I will liken him to a wise man, which hath builded his house on a rock:

KJV: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Geneva: And the raine fell, and the floods came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fell not: for it was grounded on a rocke.

KJV: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

Geneva: But whosoeuer heareth these my wordes, and doeth them not, shall be likened vnto a foolish man, which hath builded his house vpon the sand:

KJV: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Geneva: And the raine fell, and the floods came, and the windes blewe, and beat vpon that house, and it fell, and the fall thereof was great.

KJV: And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

Geneva: And it came to passe, when Iesus had ended these wordes, the people were astonied at his doctrine.

KJV: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Geneva: For he taught them as one hauing authoritie, and not as the Scribes.
