KJV: The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Geneva: The booke of the generation of Iesvs Christ the sonne of Dauid, the sonne of Abraham.

KJV: Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Geneva: Abraham begate Isaac. And Isaac begate Iacob; Iacob begat Iudas and his brethren.

KJV: And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

Geneva: And Iudas begate Phares, and Zara of Thamar; Phares begate Esrom; Esrom begate Aram.

KJV: And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

Geneva: And Aram begate Aminadab; Aminadab begate Naasson; Naasson begat Salmon.

KJV: And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

Geneva: And Salmon begate Booz of Rachab; Booz begat Obed of Ruth; Obed begat Iesse.

KJV: And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

Geneva: And Iesse begate Dauid the King; Dauid the King begate Solomon of her that was the wife of Vrias.

KJV: And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

Geneva: And Solomon begate Roboam; Roboam begate Abia; Abia begate Asa.

KJV: And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

Geneva: And Asa begate Iosaphat; Iosaphat begate Ioram; Ioram begate Hozias.

KJV: And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

Geneva: And Hozias begat Ioatham; Ioatham begate Achaz; Achaz begate Ezekias.

KJV: And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

Geneva: And Ezekias begate Manasses; Manasses begate Amon; Amon begate Iosias.

KJV: And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

Geneva: And Iosias begate Iakim; Iakim begate Iechonias and his brethren about the time they were caried away to Babylon.

KJV: And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

Geneva: And after they were caried away into Babylon, Iechonias begate Salathiel. And Salathiel begate Zorobabel.

KJV: And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

Geneva: And Zorobabel begate Abiud; Abiud begate Eliacim; Eliacim begate Azor.

KJV: And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

Geneva: And Azor begate Sadoc; Sadoc begate Achim; Achim begate Eliud.

KJV: And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

Geneva: And Eliud begate Eleazar; Eleazar begate Matthan; Matthan begate Iacob.

KJV: And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Geneva: And Iacob begat Ioseph ye husbad of Mary, of whom was borne Iesvs, that is called Christ.

KJV: So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Geneva: So all the generations fro Abraham to Dauid, are fourtene generations; fro Dauid vntil they were caried away into Babylon, fourtene generations: and after they were caried away into Babylon vntill Christ, fourteene generations.

KJV: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Geneva: Nowe the birth of Iesvs Christ was thus, When as his mother Mary was betrothed to Ioseph, before they came together, shee was found with childe of the holy Ghost.

KJV: Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Geneva: Then Ioseph her husbande being a iust man, and not willing to make her a publike example, was minded to put her away secretly.

KJV: But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Geneva: But whiles he thought these things, behold, the Angel of the Lorde appeared vnto him in a dreame, saying, Ioseph, the sonne of Dauid, feare not to take Mary thy wife: for that which is conceiued in her, is of the holy Ghost.

KJV: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Geneva: And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name Iesvs: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.

KJV: Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Geneva: And al this was done that it might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by ye Prophet, saying,

KJV: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Geneva: Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, & they shal call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.

KJV: Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Geneva: Then Ioseph, being raised from sleepe, did as the Angel of the Lorde had inioyned him, and tooke his wife.

KJV: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Geneva: But he knew her not, til she had broght forth her first borne sonne, & he called his name Iesus.
