KJV: For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

Geneva: For the kingdome of heauen is like vnto a certaine, housholder, which went out at the dawning of the day to hire labourers into his vineyarde.

KJV: And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Geneva: And he agreed with the labourers for a peny a day, and sent them into his vineyard.

KJV: And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

Geneva: And he went out about the third houre, & sawe other standing idle in the market place,

KJV: And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

Geneva: And sayd vnto them, Goe ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoeuer is right, I will giue you: and they went their way.

KJV: Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

Geneva: Againe he went out about the sixt & ninth houre, and did likewise.

KJV: And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

Geneva: And he went about the eleuenth houre, and found other standing idle, & sayd vnto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

KJV: They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

Geneva: They sayd vnto him, Because no man hath hired vs. He sayd to them, Goe ye also into my vineyard, and whatsoeuer is right, that shall ye receiue.

KJV: So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

Geneva: And when euen was come, the master of the vineyard sayd vnto his steward, Call the labourers, and giue them their hire, beginning at the last, till thou come to the first.

KJV: And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

Geneva: And they which were hired about ye eleuenth houre, came and receiued euery man a penie.

KJV: But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

Geneva: Nowe when the first came, they supposed that they should receiue more, but they likewise receiued euery man a penie.

KJV: And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

Geneva: And when they had receiued it, they murmured against the master of the house,

KJV: Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

Geneva: Saying, These last haue wrought but one houre, and thou hast made them equall vnto vs, which haue borne the burden & heate of the day.

KJV: But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

Geneva: And hee answered one of them, saying, Friend, I doe thee no wrong: didst thou not agree with me for a penie?

KJV: Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.

Geneva: Take that which is thine owne, and go thy way: I will giue vnto this last, as much as to thee.

KJV: Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

Geneva: Is it not lawfull for me to do as I will with mine owne? Is thine eye euil, because I am good?

KJV: So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Geneva: So the last shalbe first, and the first last: for many are called, but fewe chosen.

KJV: And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

Geneva: And Iesus went vp to Hierusalem, and tooke the twelue disciples apart in the way, and said vnto them,

KJV: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Geneva: Beholde, wee goe vp to Hierusalem, and the Sonne of man shall bee deliuered vnto the chiefe priestes, and vnto the Scribes, and they shal condemne him to death,

KJV: And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Geneva: And shall deliuer him to the Gentiles, to mocke, and to scourge, and to crucifie him, but the thrde day he shall rise againe.

KJV: Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Geneva: Then came to him the mother of Zebedeus children with her sonnes, worshipping him, and desiring a certaine thing of him.

KJV: And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

Geneva: And he said vnto her, What wouldest thou? She said to him, Graunt that these my two sonnes may sit, the one at thy right hand, and the other at thy left hand in thy kingdome.

KJV: But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

Geneva: And Iesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye aske. Are ye able to drinke of the cup that I shall drinke of, and to be baptized with the baptisme that I shalbe baptized with? They said to him, We are able.

KJV: And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Geneva: And he said vnto them, Ye shall drinke in deede of my cup, and shall be baptized with the baptisme, that I am baptized with, but to sit at my right hande, and at my left hand, is not mine to giue: but it shalbe giuen to them for whome it is prepared of my Father.

KJV: And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Geneva: And when the other ten heard this, they disdained at the two brethren.

KJV: But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Geneva: Therefore Iesus called them vnto him, and saide, We knowe that the lordes of the Gentiles haue domination ouer them, and they that are great, exercise authoritie ouer them.

KJV: But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Geneva: But it shall not be so among you: but whosoeuer will be great among you, let him be your seruant.

KJV: And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Geneva: And whosoeuer will be chiefe among you, let him be your seruant.

KJV: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Geneva: Euen as the Sonne of man came not to be serued, but to serue, and to giue his life for the ransome of many.

KJV: And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

Geneva: And as they departed from Iericho, a great multitude followed him.

KJV: And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

Geneva: And beholde, two blinde men, sitting by the way side, when they heard that Iesus passed by, cryed, saying, O Lorde, the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercie on vs.

KJV: And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

Geneva: And the multitude rebuked them, because they should holde their peace: but they cried the more, saying, O Lord, the Sonne of Dauid, haue mercie on vs.

KJV: And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

Geneva: Then Iesus stoode still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I should do to you?

KJV: They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

Geneva: They saide to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

KJV: So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Geneva: And Iesus mooued with compassion, touched their eyes, & immediatly their eyes receiued sight, and they followed him.
