For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Simple English
Just like in the time before the great flood, people were eating, drinking, getting married, and giving their children in marriage. They continued doing this until the day Noah went into the ark.
