←Back to VersesFor thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.
Because you believed in your wrongdoing, you thought no one was watching. Your knowledge and cleverness have tricked you, and you think, "I am the only one who matters."
