Chapter 12

1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

*On that day, you will say, "Lord, I will praise you. Even though you were upset with me, now your anger has gone away, and you have made me feel better."

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

*Look, God is my saving; I will trust and not be scared because the LORD is my power and my song. He's also my rescue now.

3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

*So, happily you'll get water from the sources of safety's wells.

4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

*On that day, you will say, "Thank the Lord, ask for His help, tell others about what He has done, and remind everyone that His name is great.

5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

*Sing to God, because God has done amazing things. Everyone on Earth knows about it.

6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

*Shout and yell, person from Zion city! The great Holy One of Israel is with you!
