Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Simple English
But he got hurt for our mistakes, he got hurt for our bad actions: the punishment for making things peaceful was given to him; and from his wounds, we get better.
