And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

They force a man named Simon from Cyrene, who is walking by and just left the countryside, to carry Jesus' cross. Simon is also the dad of Alexander and Rufus.
