Back to ChaptersKJV - Isaiah 9:3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. You have made the population bigger, but didn't increase their happiness. They are happy when they see a good harvest, just like people who celebrate after sharing the things they took from others.
