Exodus 36

Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.

Then Bezaleel and Aholiab, along with other skilled people, made everything needed for the sacred place. The LORD gave them wisdom and understanding to do all kinds of work as he had instructed.

And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it:

Moses asked Bezaleel, Aholiab, and all smart people with wise hearts to help with the work, because God gave them the ability to understand how to do it.

And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning.

Moses collected all the gifts that the Israelites gave for the construction of the sanctuary. People also offered extra gifts every morning.

And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made;

And all the smart people who built the temple's things stopped working on what they were making.

And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make.

They told Moses, "The people are bringing way too much of what's needed for the work that the LORD ordered to be done."

And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing.

Moses ordered everyone and announced that no one should create anything more for the temple. This stopped people from bringing additional items.

For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.

They had enough materials for the job, with some extra left over.

And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work made he them.

Every smart and skilled worker making the tabernacle created ten large cloths from finely woven linen and bright colors: blue, purple, and red. They also carefully designed and added cleverly-made angels called cherubims.

The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size.

The curtain's length was 20 and a half feet, and its width was 4 feet; all curtains were the same size.

And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another.

He joined the first five curtains together, and also joined the second five curtains together.

And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.

He added blue loops along the edge of one curtain from the edge, and also did the same on the other curtain's side, both at their couplings.

Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another.

He created fifty loops for a curtain, and also fifty loops for the edge of that curtain, at the connection of the second one. These loops connected one curtain to another.

And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle.

He created fifty golden hooks, then connected the curtains using these hooks, making them into one large tent.

And he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them.

He created eleven goat-hair curtains for the tent covering the tabernacle.

The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain: the eleven curtains were of one size.

One curtain was 30 units long and 4 units wide; all eleven curtains were the same size.

And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves.

He joined together five curtains alone, and also six curtains alone.

And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.

He created fifty loops at the edge of the curtain where they connect, and also made fifty loops at the edge of the connecting curtain for the second set.

And he made fifty taches of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one.

He created fifty brass hooks to join the tent, making it one unit.

And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’ skins above that.

He created a cover for the tent using red-dyed ram skins, and then added another cover made from badger skins on top.

And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up.

He made wooden boards for the tent, which stood upright.

The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half.

The board's length was ten units long, and its width was a bit over one unit.

One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

One board had two pegs, the same distance apart: he made this way for all the boards in the tabernacle.

And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward:

He created wooden panels for the tent; twenty panels for the south side facing south.

And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.

He made 40 silver supports under 20 wooden panels. There were 2 supports under each panel for the two wooden rods. He also made 2 supports under a different panel for its two wooden rods.

And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards,

On the other side of the tent, facing the top left corner, there were twenty wooden panels made.

And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.

And forty silver supports; two under one board and two under another board.

And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards.

On the side of the tent towards the west, six boards were made.

And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.

He made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle on both sides.

And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners.

Below, they were connected, and also joined at the front to a single ring. He did this for both corners.

And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.

There were eight boards with sixteen silver sockets each, two socks per board from the bottom.

And he made bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,

He created wooden bars from shittim wood; there were five for each side of the tabernacle's panels.

And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the sides westward.

Five bars for one side's boards, and five bars for the other side's boards towards the west.

And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.

He created a central bar that went through all the boards, from one end to the other.

And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold.

He covered the wooden boards with gold and made gold rings for attaching the bars, then also covered the bars with gold.

And he made a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubims made he it of cunning work.

He created a curtain from blue, purple, scarlet, and fine woven fabric. He skillfully made this curtain with intricate designs featuring cherubs.

And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.

He created four wooden columns and covered them with gold. The hooks on them were also gold-plated, and he made four silver base stands for them.

And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework;

He created a curtain for the tent entrance using blue, purple, scarlet, and fine woven fabric, with embroidery.

And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass.

And the five supports with their hooks: he covered their tops and edges with gold; however, their five base stands were made of bronze.
