Exodus 31:17
It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Simple English
This verse means that there's a symbol showing God's relationship with the Israelites forever. Because, in six days, God created the sky and Earth, but on the seventh day, He took a break and recharged.
