Describes how Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt and slavery, and how they receive laws from God.

Chapter 35

KJV: And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.

Geneva: Then Moses assembled all the Congregation of the children of Israel, and sayd vnto them, These are the wordes which the Lord hath commanded, that ye should do them:

KJV: Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

Geneva: Six dayes thou shalt work, but the seuenth day shall bee vnto you the holy Sabbath of rest vnto the Lord: whosoeuer doth any worke therein, shall die.

KJV: Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

Geneva: Ye shall kindle no fire throughout all your habitations vpon the Sabbath day.

KJV: And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying,

Geneva: Againe, Moses spake vnto all the Congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, saying,

KJV: Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,

Geneva: Take from among you an offering vnto the Lorde: whosoeuer is of a willing heart, let him bring this offring to the Lord, namely golde, and siluer, and brasse:

KJV: And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair,

Geneva: Also blewe silke, and purple, and skarlet, and fine linen, and goates heare,

KJV: And rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and shittim wood,

Geneva: And rams skins died red, and badgers skins with Shittim wood:

KJV: And oil for the light, and spices for anointing oil, and for the sweet incense,

Geneva: Also oyle for light, and spices for the anointing oyle, and for the sweete incense,

KJV: And onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod, and for the breastplate.

Geneva: And onix stones, and stones to be set in the Ephod, and in the brest plate.

KJV: And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;

Geneva: And all the wise hearted among you, shall come and make all that the Lord hath commanded:

KJV: The tabernacle, his tent, and his covering, his taches, and his boards, his bars, his pillars, and his sockets,

Geneva: That is, the Tabernacle, that pauilion thereof, and his couering, and his taches & his boards, his barres, his pillars and his sockets,

KJV: The ark, and the staves thereof, with the mercy seat, and the vail of the covering,

Geneva: The Arke, and the barres thereof ye Merci-seate, and the vaile that couereth it,

KJV: The table, and his staves, and all his vessels, and the shewbread,

Geneva: The Table, and the barres of it, and all the instruments thereof, and the shewe bread:

KJV: The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,

Geneva: Also the Candlesticke of light and his instrumentes, and his lampes with the oyle for the light:

KJV: And the incense altar, and his staves, and the anointing oil, and the sweet incense, and the hanging for the door at the entering in of the tabernacle,

Geneva: Likewise the Altar of perfume and his barres, and the anoynting oyle, and the sweete incense, and the vaile of the doore at the entring in of the Tabernacle,

KJV: The altar of burnt offering, with his brasen grate, his staves, and all his vessels, the laver and his foot,

Geneva: The Altar of burnt offering with his brasen grate, his barres and all his instrumentes, the Lauer and his foote,

KJV: The hangings of the court, his pillars, and their sockets, and the hanging for the door of the court,

Geneva: The hangings of the court, his pillars & his sockets, and the vaile of the gate of the court,

KJV: The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

Geneva: The pinnes of the Tabernacle, & the pinnes of the court with their cordes,

KJV: The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.

Geneva: The ministring garments to minister in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the Priest, and the garmentes of his sonnes, that they may minister in the Priests office.

KJV: And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

Geneva: Then all the Congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

KJV: And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’s offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

Geneva: And euery one, whose heart encouraged him, & euery one, whose spirit made him willing, came and brought an offring to the Lord, for the worke of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, & for all his vses, and for the holy garments.

KJV: And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.

Geneva: Both men & women, as many as were free hearted, came and brought taches and earings, and rings, and bracelets, all were iewels of golde: and euery one that offered an offring of gold vnto the Lord:

KJV: And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers’ skins, brought them.

Geneva: Euery man also, which had blewe silke, and purple, and skarlet, & fine linen, and goates heare, and rammes skinnes died red, and badgers skins, brought them.

KJV: Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD’s offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.

Geneva: All that offered an oblation of siluer and of brasse, brought the offring vnto the Lord: and euery one, that had Shittim wood for any maner worke of the ministration, brought it.

KJV: And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.

Geneva: And all the women that were wise hearted, did spin with their hands, and brought ye spun worke, euen the blewe silke, and the purple, the skarlet, and the fine linen.

KJV: And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats’ hair.

Geneva: Likewise al the women, whose hearts were moued with knowledge, spun goates heare.

KJV: And the rulers brought onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate;

Geneva: And ye rulers brought onix stones, & stones to be set in the Ephod, and in the brest plate:

KJV: And spice, and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense.

Geneva: Also spice, and oyle for light, and for the anoynting oyle, and for the sweete perfume.

KJV: The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

Geneva: Euery man and woman of the children of Israel, whose hearts moued the willingly to bring for all the worke which the Lorde had commanded the to make by the hand of Moses, brought a free offring to the Lord.

KJV: And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

Geneva: Then Moses sayde vnto the children of Israel, Beholde, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur of the tribe of Iudah,

KJV: And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

Geneva: And hath filled him with an excellent spirit of wisdome, of vnderstanding, and of knowledge, and in all maner worke,

KJV: And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

Geneva: To finde out curious workes, to worke in golde, and in siluer, and in brasse,

KJV: And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

Geneva: And in grauing stones to set them, and in karuing of wood, euen to make any maner of fine worke.

KJV: And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

Geneva: And he hath put in his heart that hee may teach other: both hee, and Aholiab the sonne of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan:

KJV: Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

Geneva: Them hath he filled with wisdome of heart to worke all maner of cunning and broidred, and needle worke: in blewe silke, and in purple, in skarlet, and in fine linnen and weauing, euen to do all maner of worke and subtill inuentions.
