Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 13

KJV - Deuteronomy 13:5

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

If someone claims to be a prophet or has dream interpretations, and they tell you to turn away from the Lord who saved you from slavery in Egypt, you must punish them. This is because they're trying to lead you away from the path the Lord wants you to follow. Removing such evil people will help keep your community on the right track.
