Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 13

KJV - Deuteronomy 13:16

And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

And you must collect all the stolen goods from the city and put them in the center of the streets. Then burn the entire city and its stolen goods completely with fire, because your God, the LORD, wants it. It will become a pile forever, and people won't rebuild it.
