Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 13

KJV - Deuteronomy 13:17

And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

And don't keep anything from the cursed object; this will help God stop being angry with you, show you mercy, be kind to you, and increase your numbers, just like he promised your ancestors.
