Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 7

KJV - Deuteronomy 7:4

For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

If they make your child stop following me, so they can worship other gods, then the Lord's anger will burn against you, and he will quickly destroy you.
