And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Simple English
There were loud noises, thunder, and lightning, along with a massive earthquake. This earthquake was more powerful than any other in history since people have been on Earth.
