Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 19

KJV - 1 Samuel 19:4

And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:

Jonathan praised David to his father, King Saul, and told him not to blame or punish David. He explained that David hadn't done anything wrong to Saul and that he had always done good things for him.
