1 Samuel

Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 19

KJV - 1 Samuel 19:15

And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.

Saul told the messengers to go back and get David for him, saying he wanted David brought to him in a bed so he could kill him.
