Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 14

KJV - 1 Samuel 14:40

Then said he unto all Israel, Be ye on one side, and I and Jonathan my son will be on the other side. And the people said unto Saul, Do what seemeth good unto thee.

Then he told all of Israel to stand on one side, while he and his son Jonathan would stand on the other side. The people told Saul to do whatever he thought was best.
