←Back to VersesThen Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.
Then Adonijah, Haggith's son, became proud and said, "I will be the king." He got chariots, horsemen, and 50 men to run ahead of him to show his power.
