Chapter 8

KJV: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Geneva: Afterwarde the Lorde spake vnto Moses, saying,

KJV: Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;

Geneva: Take Aaron and his sonnes with him, and the garments and the anointing oyle, and a bullocke for the sinne offring, & two rammes, and a basket of vnleauened bread,

KJV: And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Geneva: And assemble all the company at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

KJV: And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Geneva: So Moses did as the Lord had commanded him, & the companie was assembled at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

KJV: And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.

Geneva: Then Moses said vnto the company, This is the thing which the Lorde hath commaunded to doe.

KJV: And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

Geneva: And Moses brought Aaron and his sonnes, and washed them with water,

KJV: And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

Geneva: And put vpon him the coate, and girded him with a girdle, & clothed him with the robe, and put the Ephod on him, which he girded with the broydred garde of the Ephod, and bounde it vnto him therewith.

KJV: And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

Geneva: After he put the brest plate thereon, and put in the breast plate the Vrim and the Thummim.

KJV: And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Geneva: Also he put the miter vpon his head, and put vpon the miter on the fore front the golden plate, and the holy crowne, as the Lorde had commanded Moses.

KJV: And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

Geneva: (Nowe Moses had taken the anointing oyle, and anoynted the Tabernacle, and al that was therein, and sanctified them,

KJV: And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.

Geneva: And sprinkled thereof vpon the altar seuen times, and anointed the altar and all his instruments, and the lauer, and his foote, to sanctifie them)

KJV: And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

Geneva: And he powred of the anointing oyle vpon Aarons head, and anointed him, to sanctifie him.

KJV: And Moses brought Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Geneva: After, Moses brought Aarons sonnes, and put coates vpon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonets vpon their heades, as the Lorde had commanded Moses.

KJV: And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.

Geneva: Then he brought the bullocke for the sinne offring, and Aaron and his sonnes put their handes vpon the head of the bullocke for the sinne offring.

KJV: And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

Geneva: And Moses slew him, and tooke the blood, which he put vpon the hornes of the Altar roud about with his finger, and purified the altar, & powred the rest of the blood at the foote of ye altar: so he sanctified it, to make reconciliation vpon it.

KJV: And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

Geneva: Then he tooke all the fatte that was vpon the inwardes, and the kall of the liuer and the two kidneis, with their fat, which Moses burned vpon the Altar.

KJV: But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Geneva: But the bullocke and his hide, and his flesh, and his doung, hee burnt with fire without the host as the Lord had commanded Moses.

KJV: And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Geneva: Also hee brought the ram for the burnt offring, and Aaron and his sonnes put their hands vpon the head of the ramme.

KJV: And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

Geneva: So Moses killed it, and sprinkled the blood vpon the Altar round about,

KJV: And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

Geneva: And Moses cut the ram in pieces, & burnt the head with the pieces, and the fat,

KJV: And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Geneva: And washed the inwardes and the legges in water: so Moses burnt the ram euery whit vpon ye Altar: for it was a burnt offring for a sweete sauour, which was made by fire vnto the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

KJV: And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Geneva: After, he brought the other ram, the ram of consecrations, and Aaron and his sonnes layed their handes vpon the head of the ram,

KJV: And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

Geneva: Which Moses slewe, and tooke of the blood of it, and put it vpon the lappe of Aarons right eare, & vpon the thumbe of his right hand, and vpon the great toe of his right foote.

KJV: And he brought Aaron’s sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

Geneva: Then Moses brought Aarons sonnes, and put of the blood on the lap of their right eares, and vpon the thumbes of their right handes, and vpon the great toes of their right feete, and Moses sprinckled the rest of the blood vpon the Altar round about.

KJV: And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:

Geneva: And he tooke the fat & the rumpe and all the fat that was vpon the inwards, and the kall of the liuer, and the two kidneis with their fat, & the right shoulder.

KJV: And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:

Geneva: Also he tooke of ye basket of ye vnleauened bread that was before the Lorde, one vnleauened cake and a cake of oiled bread, & one wafer, and put them on the fat, & vpon the right shoulder.

KJV: And he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.

Geneva: So hee put all in Aarons handes, and in his sonnes handes, and shooke it to and fro before the Lord.

KJV: And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Geneva: After, Moses tooke the out of their hands, & burnt them vpon the altar for a burnt offring: for these were consecrations for a sweete sauour which were made by fire vnto the Lord.

KJV: And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses’ part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

Geneva: Likewise Moses tooke the breast of the ram of consecrations, & shooke it to and fro before the Lord: for it was Moses portion, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

KJV: And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.

Geneva: Also Moses tooke of the anointing oyle, and of the blood which was vpon the Altar, and sprinkled it vpon Aaron, vpon his garments, and vpon his sonnes, and on his sonnes garments with him: so hee sanctified Aaron, his garments, & his sonnes, and his sonnes garments with him.

KJV: And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

Geneva: Afterward Moses saide vnto Aaron and his sonnes, Seethe the flesh at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, & there eate it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sonnes shall eate it,

KJV: And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

Geneva: But that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread, shall ye burne with fire.

KJV: And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

Geneva: And ye shall not depart from the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation seuen dayes, vntill the dayes of your consecrations bee at an ende: for seuen dayes, saide the Lorde, shall hee consecrate you,

KJV: As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

Geneva: As hee hath done this day: so the Lorde hath commanded to doe, to make an atonement for you.

KJV: Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

Geneva: Therefore shall yee abide at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation day and night, seuen dayes, and shall keepe the watch of the Lord, that ye dye not: for so I am commanded.

KJV: So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

Geneva: So Aaron and his sonnes did all thinges which the Lorde had commanded by the hand of Moses.
