Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 29

KJV - Deuteronomy 29:6

Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

You did not eat food, nor drink wine or other strong drinks. This was so you would understand that I am the one true God for you.
