1 Samuel

Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 18

KJV - 1 Samuel 18:6

And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.

When David returned from defeating the Philistines, the women from all over Israel came out to celebrate and meet King Saul. They brought drums, happiness, and musical instruments with them as they sang and danced.
