And David said unto Saul, Who am I? and what is my life, or my father’s family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king?
Simple English
David asked Saul, "Why would you think I'm suitable to marry your daughter and become part of your royal family? My background isn't that important or connected to the kingdom."
