Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 16

KJV - 1 Samuel 16:23

And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

When Saul had a bad spirit sent by God, David played a harp with his hand. This made Saul feel better, and the bad spirit went away.
