Chapter 15

KJV - 1 Samuel 15:22

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

And Samuel asked, Does the Lord like burned offerings and sacrifices more than listening to people follow his instructions? Look, it's better to listen and obey than to give him sacrifices, and better to pay attention than to offer fat from many sheep.
