KJV - 1 Kings 2:24

Now therefore, as the LORD liveth, which hath established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who hath made me an house, as he promised, Adonijah shall be put to death this day.

So now, since the Lord is alive and has given me power, just like he did for my father David by putting him on the throne, and has built a strong kingdom for me as he promised, we must make sure that Adonijah is punished today.
