Moses gives speeches about laws and the importance of following God before the Israelites enter the Promised Land.

Chapter 1

KJV - Deuteronomy 1:42

And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.

And the Lord told me, Tell them not to go up or fight, because I'm not with you. This is so they don't get defeated by their enemies.
