Chapter 3

Back to Chapters
KJV - Amos 3:12
Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.
This is what God says: Just like how a shepherd removes two legs or part of an ear from a lion's mouth, the people of Israel living in Samaria and Damascus will be rescued from difficult situations - taken out from under a bed and a couch.
