KJV: The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Geneva: The elders which are among you, I beseech which am also an elder, and a witnesse of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shalbe reueiled,

KJV: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

Geneva: Feede the flocke of God, which dependeth vpo you, caring for it not by constraint, but willingly: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready minde:

KJV: Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

Geneva: Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke.

KJV: And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Geneva: And when that chiefe shepheard shal appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.

KJV: Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Geneva: Likewise ye yonger, submit your selues vnto the elders, & submit your selues euery man, one to another: decke your selues inwardly in lowlinesse of minde: for God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.

KJV: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Geneva: Humble your selues therefore vnder the mightie hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

KJV: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Geneva: Cast all your care on him: for he careth for you.

KJV: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Geneva: Be sober, and watch: for your aduersarie the deuil as a roaring lyon walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure:

KJV: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Geneva: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren which are in the world.

KJV: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Geneva: And the God of all grace, which hath called vs vnto his eternall glory by Christ Iesus, after that ye haue suffered a litle, make you perfite, confirme, strengthen and stablish you.

KJV: To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Geneva: To him be glory and dominion for euer and euer, Amen.

KJV: By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

Geneva: By Syluanus a faithfull brother vnto you, as I suppose, haue I written briefly, exhorting and testifying how that this is the true grace of God, wherein ye stand.

KJV: The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.

Geneva: The Church that is at Babylon elected together with you, saluteth you, and Marcus my sonne.

KJV: Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all that are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Geneva: Greete ye one another with the kisse of loue. Peace be with you all which are in Christ Iesus, Amen.
