Chapter 1

KJV - Ruth 1:16

And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth told Naomi, "Don't ask me to leave you or stop following you. Wherever you go, I'll go too; wherever you stay, I'll stay there as well. Your people will become my people, and your God will be my God."
