Chapter 9

KJV - Judges 9:23

Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

Then, God caused a bad spirit to come between Abimelech and the people of Shechem. The people of Shechem secretly betrayed Abimelech.
