←Back to VersesSo the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set beside Gibeah.
The children of Benjamin noticed they were being defeated. The men of Israel moved back to let the Benjamites fight, because they believed the hidden attackers near Gibeah would help them.
