Describes how Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt and slavery, and how they receive laws from God.

Chapter 30

KJV - Exodus 30:13

This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.

Every person counted must give half a shekel, following the sanctuary's shekel value (which is 20 gerahs); this half shekel is the offering to the Lord.
