KJV - 2 Corinthians 2:4

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

I wrote this letter to you with lots of tears because I wanted you to understand how much I love you and care for you. It's not to make you sad, but to show you my deep love for you.
