1 Samuel

Tells about Samuel, the last judge, and the beginning of Israel's monarchy with King Saul and young David.

Chapter 26

KJV - 1 Samuel 26:17

And Saul knew David’s voice, and said, Is this thy voice, my son David? And David said, It is my voice, my lord, O king.

Saul recognized David's voice and asked, "Is that you, David?" David replied, "Yes, it's me, King!"
