←Back to VersesAnd the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
The priest told David that he didn't have regular bread, but holy bread. However, for the young men to be eligible, they must have avoided women as well.
