Psalm 271

Psalm 27:1 is the opening verse of the 27th psalm in the Book of Psalms, part of the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Old Testament. The verse is a declaration of trust in God, often interpreted as an expression of confidence in divine protection and guidance. In Hebrew, the verse is written as: In English translations, it is commonly rendered as "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (ESV). The verse is part of a psalm traditionally attributed to King David, reflecting themes of trust and reliance on God amidst adversity. It is often cited in Jewish and Christian liturgy and has been widely used in religious and secular contexts to convey hope and courage.
