Oval Office

The Oval Office is the official office of the president of the United States, located in the West Wing of the White House in Washington, D.C. The room derives its name from its distinctive oval shape, which is based on the oval rooms of the White House. The office was designed by Irish architect James Hoban, who modeled it after the White House's Blue Room. The Oval Office serves as the principal workplace of the president, where they conduct meetings, sign legislation, and perform other official duties. The office has been the site of many historic events and decisions since its establishment. In Hebrew, the Oval Office is known as החדר האובל (HaKhadar HaOval), and in French, it is referred to as the Bureau Ovale. The office has undergone several renovations and redecorations over the years, with each president often adding personal touches to the space. Notable features of the Oval Office include the Resolute Desk, a gift from Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom, and the Flag of the President of the United States, which is displayed prominently.
