←Back to VersesBut Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
But Jesus stayed quiet. Then the high priest asked him, "I swear by God who is alive, tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God."
