Genesis 18:28
Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
Simple English
Just in case a few of the fifty righteous people are missing, would you really destroy the entire city because of that? He replied, If I can find forty-five people there, then I won't destroy it.
